About Ros na Rún

Ros na Rún is the only television drama series set in rural Ireland. 2015 saw it celebrate its 20th season, the show maintains its popularity with viewers through its storylines of love, lust, lies and life in the modern, contemporary Gaeltacht.

The TG4 show deals with major social issues and day to day life with humour and insight. Being soap land though, the cast of characters’ existence is somewhat different to ours, with treachery, troubles, secrets and intrigue in abundance. And this wicked mix of ingredients is what keeps viewers hooked to the series every week.

Ros na Rún airs on TG4 Tuesday and Thursday nights at 8.30pm with an omnibus edition each Sunday at 10.30pm.

The show is co-produced by Eo Teilifis and Tyrone Productions, who are commissioned by TG4 to produce the stations flagship drama programme.
